Amanda graduated from Smith College, where she was a three-sport athlete in soccer, basketball, and lacrosse. After Smith, she initially took her lacrosse playing experience to England, and then began to teach and counsel in other far-flung parts of the globe, helping hundreds of students prepare applications to colleges and universities in the US, UK, Canada, and beyond. Getting to know her students is the best part of her job, and she uses her decades of working as a Director of College Counseling at independent schools to ensure students feel known, appreciated, and well-supported throughout their college search and application experience.
Amanda is now living in the wilds of Western New York, not to be confused with upstate New York or Northern New York, supporting students with applications to college. Regardless of whether students are applying locally, internationally or if they are focused on highly selective institutions both in and out of their home region, her goal for her clients is that at the end of their experience, they all have choices to make!
In her free time, when she is not driving her children to swimming, sailing, skiing and taekwondo, Amanda races triathlons around the world on her trusty Felt Triathlon bike (purchased in Singapore 14 years ago).
