After graduating with a master’s degree in college student personnel from the University of Tennessee, Michael returned to his undergraduate alma mater to work as an admissions counselor in the Office of Undergraduate Admissions. While there, Michael loved working with underrepresented populations and would frequently keep in touch with his admitted students once they arrived on campus, ensuring that they were getting acclimated and falling in love with Mizzou just as much as he had.
Continuing his work in higher education, he went on to work at Northeastern University as part of their N.U. in Program as an assistant site lead at their Greece location. There he helped design curriculum for the program, helping facilitate discussions around the experiences and interactions the students had while abroad. In his free time, you can find Michael watching his favorite sports teams (including Mizzou football and the Kansas City Royals), searching for the best local restaurants, and fine-tuning his karaoke skills.

What are people saying about Collegewise?
I would often be stressed about what I needed to get done or about how things were turning out, but every time I walked out of the office, I was so at ease. I think the most important part about being at Collegewise was how personalized the process was, and how much care and time and effort went into me specifically.
The entire Collegewise team took all the immense pressure off the college application process. From the methods they use to narrow down the college search to the advice and hand-holding, they really allowed us to enjoy helping our son get into his dream school. I cannot say one negative thing about Collegewise!

We signed up for the senior program, and in hindsight, we would’ve definitely been with Collegewise the entire four years! To those who balk at the program fee, the biggest investment a parent will make besides a major home purchase (nowadays, it might rival one in the Midwest!) deserves some expertise!

I thoroughly enjoyed my Collegewise experience. It took so much stress and pressure off of the application process, and I am confident it made me a more competitive applicant.

I went into the college application process not knowing anything at all, and Collegewise helped me in a way that I was still able to do everything myself, but the process was not stressful or confusing at all. Collegewise guided me with deadlines that worked with my own schedule so I could get everything done on time.
The college application process is confusing and tedious, and Collegewise really helped with that process. It was reassuring to go over my application with my counselor so that we could make sure that I had a better chance of getting in!
