We’ll get right to the point: Sara is an academic powerhouse. Prior to graduating with a master’s degree in higher education from Harvard, she earned a 4.0 GPA in undergrad while serving as the founder and president of You’re Not Alone, a campus-wide anti-bullying organization, and moonlighting as a student ambassador for the office of admissions. Perhaps not surprisingly, Sara’s involvement in higher education didn’t end in the classroom. Her career has included a stint at Harvard’s T.H. Chan School of Public Health, where she guided prospective students through the application and enrollment process. Before joining Collegewise, Sara spent eight years in Bergen County as an academic tutor and coach, helping students achieve the results they want in the classroom. Sara’s Collegewise students benefit not only from her extensive background in higher education, but also from her relentless optimism. She strikes the perfect balance between cheerleader and taskmaster, guiding students through each aspect of the application process with firm deadlines and endless enthusiasm.
With Sara, it’s not all work and no play. A Bergen native, she is just as likely to start a meeting with a conversation about Jerry’s (The Store)—which, by the way, she has on speed dial—as she is to ask about your latest SAT score. When she’s not in the office, you can find her championing her favorite social justice causes; this year, she walked 18 miles as part of the the Out of Darkness Overnight Walk with the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.

What are people saying about Collegewise?
Collegewise helped me so much from the start to finish of my college application period and made everything so much more fun and easy to understand than if I went through the process all by myself. I cannot recommend Collegewise enough.

We were impressed with the outcome: Our son not only got accepted to his “reach” school, but the financial offers were unbelievable! He got multiple merit-based scholarships and fully paid tuition at many great colleges. We believe Collegewise made a big difference.

I was very pleased with Ryan’s experience. It took so much pressure off of me, and made Ryan responsible and accountable throughout the application process. Collegewise’s knowledge base of schools, their applications and stats was very helpful.

Collegewise made a difficult, confusing, and stressful process into something I could handle and provided the counseling I needed to attain the goals I set for myself.
I’m thrilled with the options Juliana has for college now. She was accepted by almost all the universities she applied to. It was a good problem to have to pick one of the acceptances. I’m really glad that I had Collegewise to help us out–it was sure worth it, and I recommend Collegewise to all my friends.

Collegewise not only helped me find a number of great potential schools, but also helped open my eyes to some of the great components of the college experience to come.
