We could not recommend working with Beth Littleford enough. She helped our son find his home-sweet-college-home in a stress-free way that gave him such confidence, ownership, and joy. Since we were rookies, there were times, especially in the beginning, when we felt confused and lost, and we will be forever grateful for Beth, who effortlessly and graciously lit the way with all of her bright insights, seamless organization, and big-hearted ways.

Beth was an uplifting, supportive, enthusiastic motivator and mentor. She was 100% engaged and available. She truly listened and understood our needs. She is so knowledgeable and enthusiastic; we felt how much she enjoyed the whole process. She took the stress out of the process for us. We really counted on her, and she really came through for us.

There’s a new fuse and energy that’s been lit in Sophia and I know in my heart of hearts that working with Beth has everything to do with it! She gave her a book to read called Creative Colleges, and it was fantastic. When I saw her carrying it around, I almost cried. She’s SO much more focused and confident because of Beth.

Beth Littleford, College Counselor
Beth Littleford has always had a passionate interest in higher education, specifically college admissions. She spent three years at Swarthmore College, and then her acting career took her to New York where she studied acting at the Lee Strasberg Institute while finishing her BA at the New School. Her time at each school was immeasurably rich and formative, showing her first-hand how such different schools can each offer unique and valuable experiences and that there is not one school that will make or break your career in college and beyond – a belief she shares with her students today.
Beth has always found real joy in working with teenagers – her first job out of college was tutoring for the SAT, and she was able to study adolescent psychology at the graduate level at The New School. She spent the next several decades acting and writing but continued to be drawn to educational consulting. Completing her program in college counseling at UCLA and guiding students through this process has brought tremendous gratification.
A lifelong writer, Beth has read and performed her personal writing at many venues in New York and LA. Her work has been published in the anthologies Worst Laid Plans and That Time of the Month, as well as in New York Magazine, Paper Magazine, and The Believer, among other publications. Beth loves bringing her first-person storytelling expertise to this work.
After years of connecting with young fans, she is thrilled about the opportunity to inspire and support young people through what can be a confusing and overwhelming endeavor, offering reassurance and hope for what she knows will be an exciting outcome.
