Collegewise provided me with a better understanding of the college application and decision process than I thought possible. Collegewise’s guidance throughout the process allowed me to really figure out what I was looking for in a college, while also maximizing my options.

I would often be stressed about what I needed to get done or about how things were turning out, but every time I walked out of the office, I was so at ease. I think the most important part about being at Collegewise was how personalized the process was, and how much care and time and effort went into me specifically.

Going to my meetings at Collegewise never felt like a chore, but more as something to look forward to! Everyone in the office is so friendly, willing to help, and made for such great motivators and supporters when it came time to fill in apps and write essays. 10/10!

The college application process is confusing and tedious, and Collegewise really helped with that process. It was reassuring to go over my application with my counselor so that we could make sure that I had a better chance of getting in!
KYRA VILLANOVA UNIVERSITY
A career-long educator, Ali has spent the last fifteen years helping students on their educational journeys. She served as an Associate Director of Admission at Colorado College, her alma mater, for eight years, where she read thousands of applications, interviewed hundreds of students, and trained the admissions staff on how to identify strong applicants. She worked as an academic advisor while earning her master’s in Higher Education and Student Development, so she also brings the lens of college course selection and academic planning. Ali loves getting to know students throughout the admission process by asking thoughtful questions to encourage self-reflection. During the college research process, she’s incredibly adept at guiding students in procuring data and utilizing critical research skills to connect their passions and interests to the universities and their communities.
Ali is a big believer in the power of community, and one way that she has recently connected with the place she calls home in the Rocky Mountains was by buying a good pair of hiking boots to explore more of the state. In the last two years Ali has climbed 20 peaks over 14,000 feet! She also loves ballet, spin classes, and snowboarding, though she’ll be the first to admit her only speeds are slow and slow-medium. Don’t let her fool you, though — Ali thoroughly enjoys spending time indoors watching movies, cuddling with her chocolate lab (or her nieces and nephews!), and reading the latest news on college admissions.
