Meet Laura!

It was God’s gift that we had Laura Dicas as our counselor. Without her, we are not sure our son would have gotten an acceptance from a college. She is very positive, confident, friendly, and always ready to go an extra mile for us. She really understood the strengths and weaknesses of our son and worked with him very closely. She came up with creative ideas to inspire him and encouraged him to be confident. She helped us to navigate the school course choices, SAT exams, and even college visits.

Laura Dicas was INCREDIBLE. She not only guided me through college tours, essays, and applications, she also made me feel good about my work and my decisions. Instead of simply advising, she listened. Laura took the time to understand who I am and what I want. This allowed me to write without judgment and ask questions without fear. More than anything, Laura made me feel confident in my work and realistic in my expectations. I would not have survived, yet alone enjoy (shockingly), this process if it wasn’t for Laura. She truly went above and beyond. I consider myself lucky to be her student.

Collegewise has been such a valuable and helpful resource for me. The stress of applying to college and for scholarships has been minimal with all of the help and support available. Laura has given me such helpful reviews of application essays during the application process. Not only is she helpful, but she is also kind and easy to talk to whenever I have questions. My Collegewise experience is so valuable to me. I don't know where I'd be without it!

When my daughter first began the process of applying to colleges, it was stressful. I wanted to offer her all of the advice in the world; however, she didn't feel like I was the expert, and quite frankly, she was right. After making an appointment with Collegewise, our anxiety almost instantly disappeared. Laura Dicas, our counselor, was able to make my daughter, and me, feel better right away. She has a great sense of humor, which helped my daughter relax and begin the creative process of writing her essay. More importantly, however, the knowledge about the entire application/essay process, along with her ongoing knowledge straight from admissions counselors, was invaluable. Needless to say, we are very appreciative of the time and energy Laura has given us.

A huge thank you to Laura. I have appreciated her so much in my daughter’s journey into adulthood, she made the entire college process so much better for us as a family. She kept us grounded and encouraged at the same time and provided much needed support through stressful times. We are ecstatic with all the acceptances our daughter had through this rollercoaster. I’m going to miss Laura’s energy and her laugh! I’m a huge fan of collegewise and will continue to send referrals.

Collegewise made the application process painlessly achievable, and unbelievably, all of my kids had fun. Our counselor introduced colleges that were not on our radar but ended up on everyone's final list. I felt very comfortable stepping away and letting my kids work independently with guidance from their counselor, who managed the process from start to finish. The assistance we received was worth every penny.

I am so incredibly grateful for Laura Dicas and Collegwise. She has undoubtedly made the college admissions process significantly more manageable and less stressful for me. She has helped to keep me ahead of the game, which specifically made the fall of my senior a breeze in comparison to my friends and peers. I always felt like I was ahead of the game, and this was all thanks to her.
