Collegewise provided me with a better understanding of the college application and decision process than I thought possible. Collegewise’s guidance throughout the process allowed me to really figure out what I was looking for in a college, while also maximizing my options.

I would often be stressed about what I needed to get done or about how things were turning out, but every time I walked out of the office, I was so at ease. I think the most important part about being at Collegewise was how personalized the process was, and how much care and time and effort went into me specifically.

Going to my meetings at Collegewise never felt like a chore, but more as something to look forward to! Everyone in the office is so friendly, willing to help, and made for such great motivators and supporters when it came time to fill in apps and write essays. 10/10!

The college application process is confusing and tedious, and Collegewise really helped with that process. It was reassuring to go over my application with my counselor so that we could make sure that I had a better chance of getting in!

Liz Davis, College Counselor
Liz is a proud “double Ram.” She earned both a BA and MBA from Fordham University in NYC. Shortly after graduating from Fordham the first time, she joined their undergraduate admissions team. Each year she reviewed over 2,000 applications, including those for Fordham’s Higher Education Opportunity Program, which aims to provide talented, underrepresented students with educational and financial support to succeed in college.
Liz has since counseled dozens of domestic and international college-bound students, including students applying for BS/MD programs. Liz is humbled that her non-traditional career path in education management has allowed her to sit on many sides of the “college admissions desk.” She prides herself in her ability to empower students to discover and leverage what makes them unique. As a result, her students have earned acceptances to an array of colleges and universities.
Liz is a proud native Texan, and former New Yorker (an unofficial title bestowed on those who lived in NYC for 10+ years). She now lives in New Jersey near the Collegewise Berkeley Heights and Short Hills offices! In her spare time, you can catch Liz watching I Love Lucy, biking with her dog, or at the airport quenching her insatiable thirst for travel.
