Collegewise provided me with a better understanding of the college application and decision process than I thought possible. Collegewise’s guidance throughout the process allowed me to really figure out what I was looking for in a college, while also maximizing my options.

I would often be stressed about what I needed to get done or about how things were turning out, but every time I walked out of the office, I was so at ease. I think the most important part about being at Collegewise was how personalized the process was, and how much care and time and effort went into me specifically.

Going to my meetings at Collegewise never felt like a chore, but more as something to look forward to! Everyone in the office is so friendly, willing to help, and made for such great motivators and supporters when it came time to fill in apps and write essays. 10/10!

The college application process is confusing and tedious, and Collegewise really helped with that process. It was reassuring to go over my application with my counselor so that we could make sure that I had a better chance of getting in!

Margo likes to say she started college at three months old. With parents who dedicated their careers to higher education, she spent her life growing up on college campuses. It’s no surprise that after graduating from the University of Redlands, she discovered her calling to help students navigate college admissions. For over seven years, she worked in admissions offices at her alma mater and at University of California San Diego.
She’s an expert in application review, having read close to 20,000 applications and managing a team of 30 evaluators while at UC San Diego. Margo has supported high school and transfer students across the United States and saw firsthand who thrives at a small, liberal arts university and who succeeds at a large, research institution. As someone who lives for a good pair of jeans (she considered getting married in them), Margo believes everyone can find a right-fit, whether it be college or pants.
When she’s not making the college process more relaxed for students, you can find her hanging at the beach, binge-watching Bravo shows and Seinfeld reruns, or reading historical fiction. She’s also a self-proclaimed food adventurer, who loves to hit new restaurants and is willing to try anything once. Crocodile pizza anyone?
