Molly Seay, College Counselor

Molly Seay is a counselor at heart and has spent the last decade helping hundreds of students find their paths.

Molly began her career in Charlottesville, Virginia counseling at Albemarle and Western Albermarle High School. In those roles, she managed caseloads of 350+ students, served as chair of the School Based Intervention Team, was the College Board coordinator for students with disabilities, facilitated AP, PSAT and SAT tests, and managed all accommodations for students’ testing needs. In 2016, Molly headed down the road to Richmond for a year at Saint Gertrude School before landing at St. Catherine's School as the Associate Director of College Counseling. Molly's students have attended college all over the US, UK, and Canada but, no matter where they land, her favorite part of the job is listening to a student's story, supporting them through the highs and lows of college admissions and always doing her best make the college journey less stressful and more fun – the way it should be!

Molly earned her bachelor's from Virginia Tech in Human Nutrition, Food, and Exercise and she earned her master's in School Counseling at Virginia Commonwealth University. She’s a photography fanatic, loves getting her hands dirty in her garden, would rather refurbish an antique over buying new and looks forward to college football every fall- Go Hokies! And her favorite place to be is with her daughter, Jane, her Lewellin Setter, Sadie, and her husband, Matt, who keep her laughing every single day.
