Alejandra Moran Olivas pattern

Alejandra Moran Olivas, College Counselor

During her time as an undergraduate at Williams College, Alejandra dove into academics, athletics, and everything residential life. Through her role as a teaching assistant and tutor for courses ranging from organic chemistry to clinical psychology to calculus II, she helped many of her peers strengthen their critical thinking skills and thrive in these classes—all while serving as a student advisor to the Deans of the College and competing in varsity track & field.

Upon graduating from Williams with a double major in biology and psychology, and prior to entering medical school, Alejandra worked in the admission office at her alma mater for four years. In addition to reading thousands of applications at this highly selective institution, she has read and continues to read applications for the National Honor Society and Jack Kent Cooke Scholarships. To weave her passion for working with students into the admission landscape, she mentored a group of college student ambassadors and trained them to support high school seniors with their applications.

Alejandra brings an empathetic, charismatic, and balanced approach to connecting with students in which her priority is to guide them to find the places where they will flourish personally and academically while they also enjoy the process. When Alejandra is not sending follow-up emails, you can find her weightlifting, showing others the beauty of Excel, and trying to convince others to watch GOT (minus the last season).
