Ali Springer pattern

Ali Springer, College Counselor

A career-long educator, Ali has spent the last fifteen years helping students on their educational journeys. She served as an Associate Director of Admission at Colorado College, her alma mater, for eight years, where she read thousands of applications, interviewed hundreds of students, and oversaw strategy on the leadership team. Working in the admissions office of a school that typically admits less than 15% of applicants imbued Ali with a thorough understanding of highly selective admissions. Ali now enjoys teaching families about the secrets of admissions and guiding students on how to best distinguish themselves in a compelling, competitive applicant pool.

Ali also served as an academic advisor while earning her master’s in Higher Education and Student Development, which honed her keen expertise in academic planning. She employs thoughtful strategy in guiding students through course selection and major research. During the college research process, she’s incredibly adept at guiding students in procuring data and utilizing critical research skills to connect their passions and interests to the universities and their communities. Ali is remarkable at connecting with her students and ensuring they feel supported at every step of their journey. She particularly enjoys helping students find their voice in the essay brainstorming process and guiding them to be strong self-advocates in their college interviews. Ali’s students have been admitted to their top choice schools across the country.

Ali is a big believer in the power of community, and one way that she has recently connected with the place she calls home in the Rocky Mountains was by buying a good pair of hiking boots to explore more of the state. In the last few years Ali has climbed 20 peaks over 14,000 feet! She also loves ballet, spin classes, and snowboarding, though she’ll be the first to admit her only speeds are slow and slow-medium. Don’t let her fool you, though — Ali thoroughly enjoys spending time indoors watching movies, cuddling with her chocolate lab (or her nieces and nephews!), and reading the latest news on college admissions.
