Opting to get assistance with the college application process was the best decision for both me and my son. After his brother had gone through this process on his own, we decided we needed a better system for the next time around and are so happy with the outcome. Ceci was a perfect match to work with Andrew through the entire process and allowed me to be hands off. It literally took all the stress out of the equation with the guidance, check ins, and progress tracking. Andrew ended up getting accepted at all but one school where he was wait listed. He also got merit scholarship awards that exceeded our expectations and made private college as affordable as in state tuition. We are so happy with how this turned out and highly recommend both Ceci and the program!
LUCY, PARENT OF ANDREW
We are beyond thankful to Collegewise, especially Ceci and Arun for helping us to navigate college admission process for my girls. Ceci Grano de Oro was our girl’s counselor. She was very knowledgeable ,organized and helpful in every situation. I would highly recommend Collegewise. It makes admission process very enjoyable and worry free.
BINAL, PARENT
Going to my meetings at Collegewise never felt like a chore, but more as something to look forward to! Everyone in the office is so friendly, willing to help, and made for such great motivators and supporters when it came time to fill in apps and write essays. 10/10!

The college application process is confusing and tedious, and Collegewise really helped with that process. It was reassuring to go over my application with my counselor so that we could make sure that I had a better chance of getting in!

Cecilia Grano De Oro, College Counselor
Cecilia Grano De Oro has worked with hundreds of students as a school-based college counselor at The Sagemont School, Scheck Hillel Community School, and North Broward Preparatory School. Prior to joining Collegewise, Cecilia served as an educator and counselor coach with Breakthrough Miami, a national CBO.
Cecilia earned her bachelor's in psychology from the University of Miami, and she went on to earn two master's degrees in education: one in mental health counseling, and one in higher education administration. And this fall, she's on track to earn her Doctorate of Education in Higher Education Leadership. Cecilia's worn a lot of hats in education: first in regulatory and ethics work at the U Miami School of Medicine and Harvard's School of Public Health and graduate student advising and programming at U Miami. She's also very involved with the Southern Association for College Admissions Counseling as a mentor and faculty member, and was a member of the National Association for College Admission Counseling's Inclusion, Access & Success standing committee.
Being a first-generation college student was a huge milestone for Cecilia, and her passion for college admissions counseling stems from her own experience. Her approach to working with families is largely based on how college transformed and shaped her life, and her intent is to support students in pursuing opportunities that can have the same impact on them.
When she isn’t counseling, Cecilia enjoys spending time with her boys Cameron and Aiden, as well as learning new recipes, practicing hot yoga, and watching reruns of her favorite TV shows, commercials included!
