Dre Miesnieks, College Counselor

Since beginning her career as a private college admissions advisor in 2019, Dre has helped hundreds of students from all over the world gain admission to the most selective colleges and universities, including, Harvard, Stanford, MIT, Penn, Yale, Princeton, Columbia, Duke, NYU, Wash U, Carnegie Mellon, Claremont McKenna, Vanderbilt, and all the UC (University of California) schools.

Dre’s skills as a college counselor are enhanced by her extensive experience as a freelance writer and as a production manager at a video production company. A college application is a story, one told to an audience with whom attention is at a premium. Dre excels at making students feel comfortable enough to open themselves up and share what makes them tick. And she ensures they use each piece of the application—from the activity list, to the letters of recommendation, to the essays—to tell distinct pieces of their story that weave together into a cohesive whole. This art of application storytelling is particularly critical for students applying to the most selective colleges and universities, where there are far more applicants with top grades and test scores than there are spaces available.

Dre particularly enjoys working with motivated, self-starting students who are excited to navigate this process with an expert teammate by their side. Those pairings allow Dre’s students to feel a sense of influence and autonomy over their own college process (which always leads to better outcomes), while also giving parents the peace of mind that comes from an expert overseeing it all to make sure everything goes smoothly and thoughtfully.

When she’s not engaging her limbs via yoga or her palate via cooking, you’ll find Dre outdoors traveling, camping, and hiking (often woven together into a cohesive outdoor whole).
