When my wife and I first started thinking about our daughter and the college application process, we were only confident about one thing: we needed an expert. I first met Liz at an informational meeting and, immediately, I was impressed with her professionalism, knowledge, and enthusiasm. As a high school educator, I do consider myself knowledgeable about the application process but, after Liz's presentation, I knew my daughter deserved more than my wife and I could provide for her. Liz's service was invaluable. She guided us through the entire process. We were advised, coached, mentored and, more importantly, valued. Our daughter has been accepted by many of her top college choices, and we have already made plans for Liz to work with our youngest daughter. Liz provides more than a service; she impacts your child's life.

Liz made this process less of a stressful one for us as a family. That was my main reason for hiring Liz; I wanted this experience to be an enjoyable one for my daughter and for us to be her cheer team. This process with Liz did that and much more! This is definitely a worthwhile investment for us. My daughter felt independent and she was able to make decisions based on HER aspirations instead of worrying about which parent to please or focusing on name recognition. She also was encouraged to apply to schools she thought out of her reach (and was accepted to two of them so far) as well as to look into schools for reasons other than name recognition.

Liz has been my lord and savior for this whole process. She's made me feel so much more confident in my applications, and it makes my heart so happy that she's just as excited for this part of my future as I am. Without this help, I would've been lost. There were so many little things I didn't know mattered that she helped me with! On top of it all, the overwhelming support for anything I wanted to do during this process made it feel like such a safe space.

I absolutely loved working with Liz and Collegewise as an entire program! They made my college research, application, and decision process exponentially less stressful, and strengthened my applications so I was able to have the best chances of getting into my top schools. I would definitely recommend Collegewise (and Liz, if possible!) to my younger sibling and younger peers.

My daughter’s college application process was challenging during the pandemic, but Liz never missed a beat and kept the virtual sessions highly engaging and productive. Our time working with Liz was rewarding and well worth the investment. She was not only a skilled professional and mentor but also a trusted friend for my daughter. I can’t say enough good things about the benefits of Collegewise and our very talented counselor, Liz!

Liz Pack, College Counselor
After graduating from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Liz worked in the UNC Office of Undergraduate Admissions as an admissions counselor and fell in love with information sessions and providing advice about the college process. Looking for more experience in higher education, she traveled to UT Austin to complete her master’s degree in education and spent time as an admissions counselor in UT’s Office of Admissions. Fortunately, it was at UT that Liz and Collegewise counselor Rebecca made glorious acquaintance.
Although she loved her time in Austin and working with Rebecca, Liz traveled back to her hometown, Baltimore, Maryland, to work as an assistant director of residential life at Johns Hopkins University and be closer to her family. However, the lure of live music, excellent food, and helping families through the college process at Collegewise has led her back to Austin. When Liz is not researching the latest trends in college admissions, she is looking for the best queso and BBQ restaurants in Austin and sharpening her already formidable fluting skills.
Though she's located in Austin, Liz is not just a UT Austin expert. While Collegewise Austin students are accepted at UT at five times the national admit rate, they also receive acceptances from universities all over the country! Our students have recently been admitted to the University of Virginia, Barnard, NYU, Rice, and Texas A&M.
