Collegewise provided me with a better understanding of the college application and decision process than I thought possible. Collegewise’s guidance throughout the process allowed me to really figure out what I was looking for in a college, while also maximizing my options.

I would often be stressed about what I needed to get done or about how things were turning out, but every time I walked out of the office, I was so at ease. I think the most important part about being at Collegewise was how personalized the process was, and how much care and time and effort went into me specifically.

Going to my meetings at Collegewise never felt like a chore, but more as something to look forward to! Everyone in the office is so friendly, willing to help, and made for such great motivators and supporters when it came time to fill in apps and write essays. 10/10!

The college application process is confusing and tedious, and Collegewise really helped with that process. It was reassuring to go over my application with my counselor so that we could make sure that I had a better chance of getting in!

Summer Amorosino, College Counselor
Summer Cerruto Amorosino is mildly obsessed with college and has now made it her life’s mission to ensure those who want to go to college, can. Summer is the oldest of four siblings and set the precedent for navigating the college process, she decided to go to the University of Connecticut (Go Huskies!) and pursue the liberal arts. After graduating, Summer went into admissions at Post University, spending the days traveling to high schools throughout New England and counseling students. She also worked as faculty, in students services, residential life and enjoyed mentoring students on career readiness. Summer became a transfer and financial aid admission counselor at the University of Hartford (she loves her transfer students!), after recruiting international students abroad and moving up the ranks in undergraduate admissions she assumed a director of graduate admissions position and oversaw the administration and admission of over 64 master and doctoral level programs.
Most recently Summer served as Provost and Chief Academic Officer at Paier College, a place known for extraordinary visual arts and design. There, she grew the College’s course offerings, academic rigor and admission standards while moving campus to a new, state of the art facility on the long island sound. Summer has a unique perspective of higher education and admissions, thus loves navigating students through the process and encouraging students to present their most authentic selves to colleges.
When not obsessing about all things college, Summer loves spending time with her husband, children, parents and siblings…like all the time! She nerds out on reading “This Old House” magazine and deciding what project to tackle next on their Italianate style home built in 1865. Brunch, traveling near and far, and planning her next cup of coffee also make Summer a happy camper!
